too put in 4gbs of ram on my system? I'm just worried that the rest of my laptop won't be able to hold up...

1.86 core duo 2
120 gb hd
256 mb nvidia 7600 go

Is 4 gb fine, or should i go to 2 gb?

What is your operating system type? 32bit or 64bit? If it's 64bit, then you can support 128GB maximum memory. 32bit o/s can support an maximum of 3.25GB RAM... So 3GB in otherwords...
