well I just checked out your mobo and it can handle a pentium d so I would put a Pentium D 925 in your pc for $99 on newegg.

yeah.. a better one, but it depends what your usin it for, gaming or work. heavy gaming get at lease a 512MB one, but work i recommend a 128 one

You don't need at least a 512 mb one, a 7900gt is only 256mb and it can play games fine. A 8800GTS 320 Mb can play games great. It's third best graphics card out. A 7600GS 512 Mb cannot play games good.

i really dont play games i do alot w/ photoshop and dreamweaver though and some occasional pocket tanks
i listen to alot of music though

i do plan on running dual monitors on this computer one will be a magnavox 15" LCD TV and the onter will be a 14" emachines monitor

You buying intel cpu with a AMD CPU cooling FAN???
To upgrade your machine, I suggest get a good GPU and more RAM instead of getting a new CPU. It is because I think your MB is a bit outdated, may not worth to get new CPU for that.
Also, it may be worth buying second-hand DDR RAM, as DDR RAM is outdaed, not worth buying new RAM.
To be honest, I would rather save the money for new computer instead of upgrade your current one.

if ur just doin a basic upgrade i think what u have chosen is alright, why would u get the gpu daisy has listed when u just stated u dont really play games, u might want to add another 512 stick to ur list though, and u prolly dont even have to get the pd 925 get the 805 for 65 oem and a cpu cooler that would do what u want fine, to me looks like a descent build for what u will be doin with it..
