Would this computer work for gaming?

no..no..no

For ~$550 if you look around you can get a decent "gaming" computer for that price if you are willing to build one youself. Trust me on this, its not hard at all, there are tons of guides on it. If you wanted any sort of decent computer to play games on for $550 the only way to do so is if you built it yourself. But that Dell, you would be extremely disappointed.
 
1k would get you a higher end computer.
Are you willing to build? Its not too hard.
Prolly for around 6-800 you could get a good gaming machine.

Yeah, from what I've got from people on several sites, it sounds like I should try and build... so I'm probably going to do that, thanks!
 
you can build a gaming computer for less than 500 but it wont be a very powerful/stable/fast gaming computer haha
basically you need to find your budget then computerforum will help you get the best bang for your buck

Building your own saves lots of $$$ and you get to customize it to your exact needs :)
