At a glance it looks fine, does the motherboard have two CPU sockets? If it does, i can't see any problems with it.

Looks ok but why not consider a Core 2 duo e6300?

Also if you want to game the built in graphics wont be very good :)

Whats your max budget and currency?

my max budget is about £350, it'll be used for internet and word proccessing.
the website i designed it on says it will cost £325

Okay this is probably overkill if you ONLY want to word procesing and internet use but if you would like to game aswell this build would be nice.

Just over your budget £387

i dont this list a few days ago on Ebuyer.

The price is slightly over, but he won't be needing an 8600 will he.....therefore you can cut costs there. :D Oh, but there's no point seen as he don't wanna do it any more.

yeah i did say the specs i posted were an overkill for what he wanted to use the pc for, but for not that much more he could have gotten a better system with more ram...better processor etc.
yeah if he was still intrested he could of just ditched the 8600 and got a mobo with intergrated graphics which would lowrer the cost anyway.

ooh well hes decided against it anyway now :)
