Would USB wifi dongle be a good subtitue for wifi card on PC

hello there

my question is Would USB wifi dongle be a good subtitue for wifi card on PC?

if i did buy one of USB wifi dongle and put it on my laptop, would it conflect with the wifi card on my pc or cause me any issues, noticing that sometimes my card works fine but not all the time? is there any settings i should set maybe like turning wifi off? or if there is some article you know dear reader please share with me.

my pc is HP Pavilion DV6 6160SE

if you do know any brand which run good under win7 64bit that would be great.

You can disable the internal wifi card and use a USB wifi dongle, no problem. The only real drawback to using the USB dongle is that you need to give up a USB port, other than that they work very well.
