Wouldn't it be great to combine Intel and AMD?

I think it would be great to have the power of work and multitasking form Intel and the gaming power of AMD in one. I know it might be impossible, but maybe something like a dual core. One Intel, One AMD. Or maybe a whole new brand that combines the powers of the to together. What do you guys think???
 
i think its not possible to get better than current top of the line models because once out technology is maxed out its a compromise for different performance aspects. of course everone wants the perfect thing but it doesnt happen.

Do you think the 1982 on the bottom right corner is a date? Or hasn't AMD been out that long?
 
I had an older machine that was AMD powered, but used an Intel branded motherboard. I believe it was a P2.

The government would not allow it, it would create a total monopoly on the processor market. They could charge $2000 per chip and we would not have much of any other choice to buy it.

You try and fit any other CPU in a Micro ITX motherboard, the VIA EPIA range are the only viable (excuse the pun) option.... thats why they are all sold out...

Motorola made cpu's for Macs if I am correct. I forget what they were called right now off the top of my head. Something power....
