If I play the game for a long time non stop (like 4 or 5 hours )it crashes .First it freezes and after few minutes the pc turns off and on by itself .And it show a message which says that the 'pc has recovered from a serious problem'

I dont know what to do??

yeah I had a temparature problem before , but when i check the temps they are always 52-60(cpu) before playing the game .what would be a normal temps for a nvidia geforce 6200 se graphic card???

You said before playing the game? It sounds, like starcab said, that after playing for such an extended period of time that the computer is overheating and then restarting itself to protect itself. Do you have a seperate temperature gauge (like on your case...) that can continue to function, even when the OS is unavailable?

Yes, if you do not have an option available to you to test the temps outside the operating system, run the game in window mode.

You might have mentioned before but what are your specs? Check your hardware, make sure fans are all functioning and the cpu's heat sink is free from dust and dirt.

WoW account? No, we don't have WoW accounts, we have all have lives....

sorry couldn't resist

Sounds to me like memory leakage if its not over heating. the game itself could be badly coded, or it could be something you are running in the background.

Does the HD start to rev up before the game crashes?

well if the HD revs up a lot that could be because of memory dumps with too much virtual memory.

Its hard to say how to fix it, because the problem is really broad. Disabled unneeded items from start up is the first step I think.

wow

i have wow but when i play it after some time of gameplay its freezes and the comp restarts itself , the temps during game play are 60- 68 C , i dont know what to do ?? I was thinking of lowering video configuration . what would be the best configuration for my wow game if my graphic card is nvidia geforce 6200 SE

Are those temps the temp of your CPU or video card? If it's your CPU then that's probably why your game freezes and PC restarts. Some mobos will automatically shutdown/restart the computer whenever the CPU reaches a certain temp...your PSU could also be the problem. If your PSU isn't strong enough then it will restart the computer.

Vir-K You have a thread on this already. http://www.computerforum.com/63235-wow-crashing.html

Edit:

Never mind, I have merged them... It gets kind of confusing when a single user creates multiple threads on the same topic.

I was thinking of lowering video configuration .

It is sometimes best to exhaust all possible ideas before seeking advice, with that in mind... yes it would not hurt to back off the settings. You'll just have to lower them all down and find what works best for you.

I strongly suggest you run memtest86.. I had the same touble with WoW oce.. and then it turned out half my RAM was corrupted :(

download the .iso, and use nero or so tu burn it onto a cd.. then insert the cd in your pc and reboot the pc. it will be run before windows starts.
