WPA and my DS

If you don't know a Nintendo DS Lite cannot connect to wireless networks guarded by WPA only WEP. If we switch our x-box 360 elite will not connect so to say we're not changing just for my DS.

So I bought a http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034CN06W (BAM!) Thinking I could make an access point with this device.

Bad news it doesn't support WEPs so is there any way I could use this wireless adapter as an access point to connect my DS to my network?

I downloaded a virtual xp machine just in case I need any older drivers

Setting up a second router with only WEP security would probably be the easiest way to do this.

But according to the specifications it does support 64 and 128bit weps. You sure the router you have don't need firmware upgrade? some older router need to upgrade the firmware in order to work with the new devices.
Cheers.

i dont believe the DS is compatible with WPA...i dont even use encryption, i just have the SSID not broadcast and grab the damn things MAC ID, works with all my devices, my phone, DS, laptop...desktop...no probs there.

You do know any person using a sniffer can just sniff a allowed mac adres and then just spoof that mac adress to connect to your wireless network.
