wrong placement of the fan

Is there a chance I put back the fan in a wrong position. This is the first time I opened a computer to clean it. I was thinking if I put it wrong, because the computer might overheat. I took away 2 fans to clean it but they're facing different ways when I put them back the one on the back is showing the dirty side or the back of the fan which is correct because that is the only way I can screw it back, but here's the confusion, the one in the center inside of the computer shows the clean side or the front of the fan(left side of the computer perspective)

I cleaned it because when I open the computer this morning the fan are so noisy like an electric fan. But after cleaning it, it's all back to normal.

Also, what's the best way to clean it and what period (monthly, weekly, yearly), for future cleaning.
 
Well fans in the back are suppose to blow outward and fans in the front blow inward. If you look carefully on the fan it should have little arrows on which way it spins and pushes air. As for cleaning it out usually i just go through my computer with a duster every few weeks. This way I don't have to take the fans out and do intense cleaning.
 
Just open your case and place your hand against the fan, you will see which way it is blowing. There is normally a label or sticker from the manufacturer on one side of the fan, this is normally the way the fan blows.

I clean my computer out every few months.
