So I decided to scale back the rig in my previous thread, and go with something a bit more manageable. I do plan on gaming, perhaps some Black Ops 2 and GTA V, but mainly I'll be doing lots of Photoshop work.
Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
MSI N670GTX-PM2D2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 670 2GB 256-bit GDDR5
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory
OCZ Vertex 4 VTX4-25SAT3-256G 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST3000DM001 3TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Thermaltake Black Widow W0319RU 850W ATX Power Supply
NZXT Phantom PHAN-002OR Newegg Exclusive Black Finish w/Orange Trim Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower
ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner
DoubleSight DS-275W Black 27" 6ms (GTG) WQHD Widescreen LCD Monitor
The total comes to around $2,300, with the monitor being $550. I'm open to suggestions, for instance I don't know if it's worth it getting the 680 instead or if the 670 is more than enough, and there may be better high-resolution monitors out there as well that I don't know about.
