What's up Computer Forum? Man, I've kinda disappeared lately - been busy with work and all...
Well, a while back I bought a tower for $65 with the following:
Processor: Pentium 4 2.8GHz
Mainboard : Asus P4S800MX
Physical Memory : 1024 MB DDR-SDRAM
PSU: 350W
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Professional
Now, the on-board graphics suck. So I bought a Radeon 9250 for $30 on eBay. Much to my dismay, the video card isn't DirectX 9 capable. So I am not able to get the cool Aero effects. I've tried all of the registry tweaks, etc. that can be found on the web, and I have come to the conclusion that it just isn't going to happen with my current card.
So I am hoping that one of my buddies here on CF has an older DX9-capable AGP video card lying around collecting dust that they'll sale me for $40 via PayPal...
So how about it???
