WTB DDR2 8gb or 16gb kit

Hi so I won't be upgrading my 2008 built computer (sig) for a while, and i want some more memory, i only have 4 gig, I thought it would be cheap to get old memory online but its not at all haha I'm looking for pc2-6400 or pc2-8500
 
ddr2 ram is very expensive these days, if your mobo is compatible, go for 8gb ddr3 ram. If not, just buy another 4gb ddr2, should be fine.

As far as I know, I'm allowed to give advice and info on this thread. It's even less, it's only a recommendation.
In this forum you're supposed to be helping people. You're right about answering the question, but I think recommendations can be allowed in a "want to buy" thread.
After all, I got some ddr2, no 8gb though. (2x2gb)
Depending on his slots it would be interesting.
