X-Ray machines bad??

Are the x-ray machines at airports damaging to laptop computers?

not that i know of, i have put ps2's gamecube's xbox's and laptops through them and they have all come out fine!

i think that anything that could be damaged by xrays inside the laptop is shielded anyway. i dont think floppy disks like going though scanners though.

If it was dangerous then they would tell you not to put it through.

Afaik, it isn't dangerous putting them through X-ray machines, but metal detectors can f*ck up the HDD.

yea, the computer is exposed all kinds of solar radation and stuff everyday. a little xrays wont hurt it.

No, I've had my tower PC, my XBOX, my iMac G4, my iBook G3, my older tower PC through, I've even asked if it damages them...
They actually thought I had a bomb in my tower PC and and rubbed in this some weird things (like magnets)

lol ive had my ps2 and pc gone through i was completely scared the first time like you incase it damaged it soi asked the attendants ect an found out it was fine

solar radiation from where? 99.9999% of all incoming ultraviolet is blocked by the ozone layer. if it wasn't all the water molecules in the oceans would quickly be broken apart and basically it would be bad.
