x1400

It's a decent card, but isnt really that good. If your talking about the x1400 in laptops, it's almost as good as a PCI-E x1300PRO. Since i've had many computers it's easy to compare for me, and I would say it's almost as good as a 9600XT.

In terms of gameplay, I can play games such as CSS or DoDS on high settings with a decent framerate, but I can't play games maxed out.

It depends on the specs of your laptop, but from what I got through some benchmarks and reviews, the X1400 with a T2500 2.0ghz core duo with 1gb ddr2ram could play doom3 on medium settings with pretty decent framerates.

Well my dad just got this laptop from compusa, it was on a blowout sale. Acer, 2gigs DDR2 ram, Core duo 1.66ghz, x1400 128mb, 120gig harddrive, DL DVD burner, built in webcam/bluetooth/wireless b/g and a whole lot of other stuff all for 900 bucks. So i just wanted to know how good the graphics card was. Thanks for the help guys :)

Just for the record, the laptop I had was a Core Duo 2.0Ghz, 1GB DDR2, 80GB 5400RPM SATA, and x1400 256MB.

The 1.66ghz is a little bit on the lower side compared to the 2.0ghz and 2.18ghz but will be fine. You should be able to run any of the games out while keeping the settings moderate.
