X1900XTX Or 7800 GTX

Do I buy an X1900XTX or a 7800 GTX- ive got £400 to spend, and im going to overclock them using a DFI Lanpart SLI-DR EXPERT- But i don't really want SLI unless someone proves that its significantly better!

Are you thinking of the 7800GTX 512 or 256? Your board will allow SLI but not Crossfire, for that reason, since it looks like you have the money, I'd go with SLI 7800GTX 512mb. That's a great solution either way, and it still may be the fastest, though I haven't seen recent benchmarks between dual 1900XTXs and the 7800GTX 512s.
 
Just get a X1900XT and be done with it. It beat the 7800GTX 512mb in almost every test and it a whole lot cheaper.
 
Oh jesus this is like a no-brainer. X1900XTX without a question. I have the X1900XT and even mine is faster than a 7800GTX.
 
Seeing as the the stock of an Asus sli mother board is delayed,

Thinking about a Sapphire X-fire mother board or an asus a8r32

i saw benchmark between X1900XT and geforce 7800GTX and it doesn't beat 7800gtx in every game but anyway, it's better to go with X1900XT because it is alot cheaper, or if u want u can wait for geforce 7900 GT/GTX, it is going to be released on march and it will be alot better than X1900 xtx

Dont get a x1900XTX, it is a rip off. For $100 cheaper you can get a x1900XT and all you need to do is overclock it 100Mhz more and you have the same exact performance as a x1900XTX!!

But ya, the x1900XTX easily beats a 512MB 7800GTX.

But then you should for ATis new card, its gonna SICK!!!

Its an endless cycle thats pointless. Just get whats good at the moment because there will always be something better.
 
yes but by the time it actually comes out the new Ati card will be out, as 34erd said its just a pointless circle!
 
Ati are always late, their video card are always come late

overall nvidia is better because they have many new technology, they have quad-SLI.

the majority of the time they may have the newer technology, but there way overpriced. Look at the 7800GTX to a x1900XTX.
