x64 or x86 win7

Hey all.

I'm an MIS student, and through school I'm able to get win7 for next to nothing..but idk which one to get on my laptop.. I would rather get 64bit if it's not going to cause any problems, but i currently have 32bit vista. Win7 would be the upgrade, so would there be any issues with upgrading to 64 rather than sticking with x86?

Toshiba satellite A205
2GB ram currently (plan to add)
intel core 2 duo T5300 1.73 GH

I went with the 32 bit version for my laptop. Unless your laptop is a desktop replacement, I'd stick with the 32 bit version.

You should Download first the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft so he can tell you if your system is gonna be OK running Win7 here:

Anyway what i could seen so far i think that toshiba doent support your mdel for Win7 X64 but it supports X86..

I would only go 64bit on a laptop if there are drivers available for it.

I have both - I like the 32bit a LOT better.
