hey guys, i have a xtasy x850xt pcie graphics card that recent crapped out on me.

when i plug in a monitor and turn on the computer, everything works but the monitor shows nothing. the light that's usually green is yellow (as if suspended or hibernating).

anyone know what the problem is? or should I try to fix it? its fairly new, and i spent alot on it, so I hope i can get it fixed somehow.

Thanks guys,
-Choco

With the light being yellow on the monitor instead of seeing it green there is no signal output from the card itself. If the drivers are in correctly the first thing advised by Encore4More would be the reseat of the card to see if it was somehow lifted up. With the yellow not green being seen have you tried recycling the monitor to see if it goes green then in the even you put the monitor on first before powering the system. That can happen on lcds. If reseating the card sees no results you probably have a bad card there.

i pulled the card out, and plugged it back in and nothing happened. Also booted the PC with the monitor on first, and same result. There is no signal and the light stays yellow. The PC does boot cause i can hear the beep b4 windows starts.

I had relatively new drivers installed so i dun think that's an issue.

any other input? or info needed?

Thanks alot!

Go ahead and try it with another video card, if you have any. It could be possible the PCIE slot is dead.

resit some parts. do you have the system speaker plugged into the motherboard? if it beeps... then something is either broken or needs to be reseated. simply remove it and put it back in.

It's starting to sound like either a dead card or slot since you have already tried reseating it. Another thing to look over is the bios settings to make sure it is set to PCI-E not PCI or AGP. If you see no results there try submitting a support ticket for ATI assistance. https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894 :(
