Xbox 360 internet problem

Hello,

I have a problem. I am using my laptop's wireless internet connection, and connecting my laptop via ethernet cable to get my xbox 360 online. Here is a diagram:

Xbox 360 connected via Ethernet>>Laptop's wireless internet>>Internet on Xbox 360

The problem is, I have a local connection to the xbox 360, but no internet connection. I tried to enable "Allow network users to connect through this computers internet connection, in the sharing tab of the LAN connection. However, it keep repeating this error message, "an error occured while internet sharing was being enabled" what does it mean? Can anyone pleasse help me out here.

Again, i have a local connection to the xbox 360 through my laptop, but my xbox 360 doesn't have an internet connection

Reboot your laptop with the Xbox 360 plugged into it through Ethernet.. I've had to do this in the past when I had my 360 hooked into my desktop the same way, it seemed to solve the error when enabling ICS (internet connection sharing).. after you reboot, try selecting the option to share again.
