Instead of buying the wireless piece for the xbox to have access to internet, is it possible to use a WRT54GV4 as a replacement for microsofts wireless piece and communicate as a wireless access point with the WRT600N.

In otherwords is this possible?

Yes and no... Loaded with default firmware, I'm pretty sure the router isn't capable. However, if loaded with something such as DDWRT, you should be able to use the router as a bridge. While I've never tried this with an Xbox, I have connected wired PC's to a wireless connection. Configurations can be a bit confusing at times, but it's really not too difficult.

Google it a little. There are a number of step-by-step guides on this.

yea im pretty sure the default firmware wouldnt allow that, but like the other one said flashing ddwrt would allow you to use it as a bridge, and it would work a couple of my buddies have theirs setup the same way
