Xbox 360 Live Problems

I have had Xbox live for quite some time now on my original xbox, but I have now bought a 360 and migrated my account across, this worked fine.
As I'm sure you're aware a 360 comes with a free one month subsription to live. So I called up the market place and put the code on hoping it would give me an extra month on top of the membership I already had. But, unfortunately it didn't it completely overrid my current subscription and now I only have one month of playing.
I looked around the net to see what i could find but nothing came up. So i finally contacted Microsoft and told them of my problem. As usual they had no idea how to help.
The man told me that it was possible to get a refund of my account and put me on hold. My phone battery died and i lost him. He had my email address and phone number yet he has not contacted me as he promised. Typical.
My question is: Is there any way I can reverse my actions without the nobs at Microsoft?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thankyou
-Todd

It was probably just a security issue so people can't constantly get the Live Gold service for free; Similar to the 3 month free subscription cards in the past. Each time you used one of those cards you had to create a new account. So, did you create a new account or just tried adding some more time to your current account? If you create a new account then you should still have your account on the 360, if you tried adding more time to your current account then you're screwed and should probably call up Live support again to see if they can give you back your full subscription or give you a refund.

Another reason why you now only have one month left is because Live allows you to use a store bought card to extend your subscription, but you're only supposed to do this when your subscription is about to end...I think.

The guy at Microsoft has prob. not contacted you because he thought you hung up when your battery died. I'd call them again from a home phone.
