XBOX 360 & Media Center

I'm having a hard time connecting my xbox to my pc to get all of the media features. When I set up the extender during testing, I recieve an earror saying that a problem has occured and to try again. Im using trend micro pc cillin internet security 07, I'm pretty sure that I opened up the right ports, I did exactly what my guide told me to do

i use transcode360 to connect my media center XP to my 360, it works great. can you give any more details? does it connect at all? are just some features not working?

It's weird because I can view my sample videos and pictures on the 360, but nothing more. My computer recognizes the 360 and extender, but when I do the installations WMC just says an error has been encountered. I'm not familiar with transcode 360..what is that?

or use orb.

They're "alternatives" to MCE and ...well they're awesome. They'll even play video types that the 360 doesnt support. Also, they're free (or at least orb is...I can speak for transcode 360 or w/e its called)

yeah, transcode360 is free as well, just google it. i have heard great things about Orb as well, but i dont have any experience with it

i googled it and all it really comes up with is runtime 360
