well i just bought a new computer with windows media center and a tv tuner. i have the tv working fine on my computer but i want to know is there a way to connect my xbox to my computer through the a/v input ports on my computer? it looks just like a tv but i dont know how to get the picture on my monitor and i dont want to connect the xbox directly to the monitor? is there a way to get it through the pc itself? any help is greatly appreciated.

well if you connect the pc to your tv on the channel it uses for your 360 would that work ?

the trouble is im not using a tv, only my pc monitor. i can watch tv through my computer, but i was wondering if i can also play my 360.

Well first realize some tuners have a buffer lag. I know my WinTV can be about 3 to 5 seconds! Obviously, you can't play with such a lag...

As for connecting it, there should be an option somewhere to select the inputs. It all really depends on what software you're running.

Only some, those that buffer the signal before playing it. I have one I used for the GC and PS2, it didn't buffer, but the quality wasn't very good at all. the 360, being an HD console, might do better, provifding you use a HD/digital interface/cable.

right but my pc on the front has the normal yellow, red, white a/v cables that are on my tv. if i connect it through those, will i still get this buffer lag you are talking about? also, i have tried doing this but i dont know how to get the picture on my monitor. do i have to run my 360 through the tv tuner or is there another way? i have an hp if that helps.
