xbox 360 preoder prices

with all due respect.. i know that most of the computers you guys own can outperform the up and coming ps3 and xbox or any other gaming system already..

but can we keep on topic please.
 
Im not suprised, what the N65 was like 80$ or something right? but it had like 64MB of ram or something like that, the estimated prices i read about were 599.99, and thats just another reason why not to buyy it.

Actually its N64, and that was the best console ever. Period. End of story. PS2 and Xbox aren't better. No, no no.

When did i say anything WAS better? i way saying the Xbox has way higher specs and coats more BECUASE of it, and 65 was just a typo, and that was very off topic.

yeah i agree. but it seems like the thing about it is that.. if you would buy them seperate.. wouldn't it cost more? .. the console alone i believe was priced at 299.99-399.99(correct me if im wrong).. n then you would need some games.. which is very few.. memory.. controller(wireless if u really want it)..

it seems like microsoft has made it or ebgames/gamestop make it seem like you have nothing to lose(if your a heavy gamer). you get all these sweet stuff included if you add just $200 more.. lol.

but to me it just looks like stuff for show.. wireless controller..remote control.. headset..a new A/V cable..etc.. i mean it should work as is shouldn't it? run the games... no need for extra gadgets...

anyone think when it does come out.. they'll have it for 299(cheapest) with like lets say.. a bonus game
any inputs?
 
Here's my opinion. I think there will be enough complaining in the beginning for microsoft to realize they have an overpriced console. A parent might pay 300 for a christmas present for their kid (mine never would) but It would take a really spoiled kid to have their parent pay 700 for a console. Since they are releasing them sometime in November for the Christmas season, they are going to want to capatilize on this advantage over the PS3 and get as many consoles out as possible. I think we will see the prices settle somewhere around $300 for the one w/o the hard drive and $400 for the one with it. That's just my opinon though.

My bad, got the wrong thing out of your post, anyway, to get back on track:

If I even do ever get a 360, I'm gonna wait a little while as the prices drop before I get one.
 
I dont think they will make the price lower then they plan to, becuase the buyers that they lose from their kids parents buying it for them(which many wouldn't anyways because they are more violent) will make up for older kind/young adults, also each sale they will make more money, and dont forget that this will COST THEM so much more to make in the first place.

hmm... imma have to disagree with that. When the ps2 came out, i thought they lost money on each console sold, because of how much it cost to develop and make? When i read about it, the number was either in the hundreds of thousands, or millions. Of course, later on they made a huge profit off of it, because everyone either wanted a ps2, or had already owned one. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what microsoft does, especially when are economy is looking the way it is.

I highly doubt parents would be able to dish out 700 bucks for a present for their kid, when in fact, they could just buy a computer for that amount. Not to mention the kids going to need at least one game. What kind of parent would spend 800 on a kid! Even 500 is pushing it!

I'd also look at the 300-400 range. If they sell the xbox 360 for 500+, that's a terrible marketing job on their part.

yes i would agree because 700 is too much(and that bundle would come with games already). lets face it, most of the people that are going to want the 360 are going to be teenagers. yes, its possible that a teenage can just come up with that amount of money, but thats *some only..

its not like a parent could just say.. 700? oh sure.. here u go son.. i hope you like it.....
 
indeed.. is it costs more than 400 dollar, i dont think it will be sold well.
at least not untill halo 3 is released :P
