XBOX Controller for PC

Anyone ever used the new Xbox 360 controller before? I just picked one up at the local Best Buy, it's pretty cool. I can use it for the computer, it's like playing Xbox on the PC. I find that it benefits racing games alot, with the triggers and all. It also will work with the new Xbox when it comes out. I don't plan on buying one, but if I go to a friend's house with it, I can have my own controller.

I just wanted to let people know about this awesome game controller for the pc, and it's alot better then the original gamepads for PC that resembled the Playstation One controllers.
 
That would be an awsome controller to have, but it seems to be just another thing to spend money on... so many things to be bought in this world...

Yep, it's really cool. Although, if you use it in Counter Strike, you may not do well because you wouldn't be able to aim quick enough against the other human players, but in a single player game it would work just fine.
 
Yes that is a pretty cool controller. I will always prefer keyboard and mouse for FPS games although that would work nicely with allot of games like tombraider etc. One beef I have with using a controller for the PC though is setting up all the keys for games. Do you find it takes awhile to set up for each game?

It does take some time to set up the controls to my liking with the controller. It's not like Xbox and already configured, so I have to experiment with different buttons to see what works the best, but it's worth it.
 
So basically you can play ps2 games on the computer as long as you have the adaptor is that true.

Also how do you test it b4 buying and let you know that the computer will run?

Are you sure about that? I tried the old xbox controller to usb conversion and it only worked on racing games....
