as far as i know, emulators are perfectly alright IF you already have a copy of the game that you bought.

your thinking more of the law, not the forum rules.

I dout its ok...but maybe ask ian or tab or predator.

Well theres been many threads about Emulators before, and none of those have been locked, and it doesnt mention it in the rules

ok now that we have clarified that then i can ask my questions. what exactly are they? wat do i need to play halo or halo 2 or any xbox game on my computer?

20$ or so. You can buy halo for PC. Also ALOT of other xobox games are made for PC, thats why i think xbox are pointless most of them come out on PC soon after anyways, but search and see if they are for PC, i know halo even has a free trail.

emulator's emulate the gaming console.

Ya, but the good old halo2 isnt for pc so an emulator would be nice. If enyone finds one (I highly doubt you will) then I would be interested too.

there are other inferior console that still havent properly emulated or at least playable. so even if the xbox emulator can run a game dont expect it to even be playable. the last time i saw they ran halo 1fps? lol that was awhile ago.

The last good emulator i saw was the N64, and that ran smoothly. They may of made a good dreamcast one now, but dont count on a good xbox/ps2 and up

epsxe was my favourite emulator, took some setting up but it ran fine afterwards.

ive been considering looking for an abox emulator to play halo 2 cos i cant be bothered to unplug my ps2 and set my xbox up.... i might go on a hunt now

edit - well that was easy lol..... http://www.caustik.com/cxbx/download.htm

this is the folder contents and that box is wat come up when u click on hte xbox logo in the folder.

Im guessing you put the xbox cd in the drive and then in cxbx you click file>open. Then navigate to your cd drive and click the .exe on the xbox game. Tell me if you get it to work.
