XBOX Keyboard and mouse

Ok been ages since ive been on here so HELLO ALL

Ive installed linux on an origional xbox (i know, i know very naughty boy)

I have recently done the USB MOD to enable me to use USB devices,

My problem is my USB keyboard and mouse doesnt work. does anyone know of a keyboard and mouse that will, (im looking for the most basic, not an expensive gaming keyboard and mouse)

My USB keyboard works just fine on my stock Xbox.

Is your usb going into one controller socket?

It's going into the USB port on the back.

its the first xbox not a 360? dont worry i sorted it, you can only run one USB device over one controller port, so connecting a controller will make either the usb device work or the controller, not both together. I did try connecting a HUB and it didnt power up , ah well

Ah, my mistake! I was referring to the 360
