Xbox Live Mic

I have the original xbox system and my live mic just broke. I have the splitter but these days its hard to find another xbox mic. Can I use any headset or does it have to be xbox?

If you have a cell phone headset then you can use that. I used mine once and it worked, but it was too sensitive and picked up the slightest sound...
