XP and 98 together?

Hey ;)

I'm having a little trouble here... eh, I've tried stuff those guides on internet have about installing 98 after XP. I've tried them, including the DEBUG command, using 98 bootdisks, fixboot, mbrfix, fixmbr, etc. Nothing works. My PC is structured this way:

IDE 0:
Master: 2Gb HD (boot, going to be used for 98)
Slave: CD Burner

IDE 1:
6Gb HD (WinXP, NTFS)
3Gb HD (FAT32)

As I installed XP, it automatically took over my 2Gb HD and used it as boot for XP and any other operating system I install (including Linux, any version). So, if I install 98, it takes over the XP boot on 2Gb. Yes, that's correct, but then when I fix the XP boot, it doesn't recognizes my Win98 install. I've tried editing the boot.ini file and adding C:\, C:\Win98, \Win98, \, etc. All of them just give me a blank screen. So my XP boot is in the drive I want to install 98, when it takes it over, can't run XP. When I fix the XP boot, doesn't sees my 98 install... any way to solve this? :(

Thanks in advance :D

boot the computer through a boot disk (bootdisk.com), go to the ms-dos and then type format c:, re boot then pop in the windows 98 cd (make sure its bootable) and there you have it.

yeah, you have to install the weaker operating system first, in this case 98. once thats done, install xp. xp will notice the 98 install and take over from there.

Yeah, I have done that before, but I didn't want to go through all the work of reinstalling XP again (which is a pain) and thought there was another way :(
