XP DirectX 10 compatable?

hey, I am looking to build myself a new computer and at this stage i am going to put XP on it. However i am getting an 8800GT and was wondering if XP is somehow able to utilize its DirectX 10 capabilities. The only reason i ask was that i am pretty sure DX10 is vista only..

Xp is NOT DX10 capable. But since only a couple of games use DX10 at this point, and since DX10 will probably be ported to XP someday, why get that bloat ware called Vista.

And right now, most games still run better under XP than Vista.

Also games like crisis, the 8800GT cant even max out with dx10, and the dx10 isnt that much different then dx9.
