Xp Error

Hi Guys....i recently removed a virus from a friends pc...and now when ever he trys to run software like itunes for example it keeps coming up run dll 32 .exe is missing or something, i have an xp cd....can anyone tell me how to get this file and how to fix the pc??

well u can download rundll32.exe from certain sites if u google, the virus prolly infected that file so when u removed it, it took that with it. i know on old xp disc u could run a repair which would basically just reinstall the windows folder, but i have noticed on recent newer disc i have that it does not have that option, easiest thing would be to reinstall xp fresh and that would be sure that you got the virus out.

Click "Start", "Run" and type in "sfc /scannow", it will check your system files and more than likely ask for your original XP disc as a reference. If it finds a missing or corrupt file it will replace it from your OS disc.

Note the space after sfc.
