Hello Guys,
i got a quite strange problem.

Ok, On my laptop I got a partition between xp professional and window 7.
Ok, My home wireless connection was origianlly set on w.7 where i also created the password to protect my connection.
That works great on7 but when i want to start up my laptop using xp and I try to connect to my own network and asks for the security password (or passphrase) to access it thats where i get stuck;
When I start typing my password the keyboard does NOT type letters, only numbers and that disables me to use xp because I can't go past the password stage.
I noticed that at same time as I type each password letter, one by one, the pc makes a quick sound for each tap and as a result on the screen it does not type the letters at all, only numbers are recognised.

Does anyone known how I can fix this (Strange) problem on XP ??:)
thanks a lot !!!

Do you know when the keyboard worked ok? I would suggest doing a system restore back to a day where it did work and see if it sorts it out. You may want to go into the keyboard settings in control panel and see if something is disabled.

I don't know how far this problem runs, but you could just reset your password to a string of numbers to see if you can get into XP and if it works normally thereafter. How to reset passwords ? A guy named "Cake" taught me this one; download here :

http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/

Burn that onto a CD, and you can reset any NT type password.
