XP Home CD-ROM

I have a computer with a COA sticker for XP Home edition. I don't have a Home edition CD-ROM. The computer is riddled with Viruses and needs to be reconfigured. How can I get a CD-ROM without spending $130.00 for a new one? By mistake I loaded my professional XP on to it and of course the the COA doesn't work for that one. I either need a COA for the Pro version or the CD-ROM to reinstall the Home edition. I know I'm going to pay for either one but if it is $130.00 I would rather convert to Linux and deal with the issues. I have more time than money! and lord knows I have given a good chunk of both to Mr. Gates in my lifetime. This is just a back-up computer and refuse to spend more money on the OS than the computer is worth! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to get a new CD from windows by letting them verify my COA. Call them and see what they say

I think it may be possible to justuse a friends CD and enter their COA, although i am probablt wrong

Call the computer manufacturer for replacement discs.

In my case, I gave Compaq the serial number and was able to buy the original 3 disc install set of my laptop for $10.

It is a computer show-made on the spot-$250-hunk of junk. Nobody to call. Thanks for the advice guys, I will probably just call Micronotsosoft and see if they can help me. If not, I'll break down and E-bay it.
