XP home or Proffessional?

Hey fellas I wanted to buy a new operating system but I am not sure which one. Basically I play a lot of games, download music, and movies. I also upgrade my PC once every 2 years. I hear Home doesn't support
X2 processors and such and that it has less security. Anyways please fill me in, thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Well, I would say its not a "yes or no" question. It depends on what you want. If you are an advanced user, you want to go for Pro, if not, Home is the way to go.

What do you mean by advanced? All I want to do is have security, and do all the fun things like I mentioned above.
 
If you are planning on getting one, just go ahead and get PRO. The price isn't so substantially different that it'll break your bank account. PRO offers tools and security that will be beneficial to you if you were to compare them side by side. I'm not saying that you can't get some tools in HOME that is offered in PRO, but it's probably just a much better choice to have PRO instead.

Plus with Pro you get extra features like being able to link 2 pro comps together over the internet real easy.
