XP Language Support

My friend wants windows to be in chinese. Does xp have different language settings? thanks

you can buy a chinese version of the operating system.

if u want the interface inthe chinese language, then u could go to the control panel -->regional and languages settings -->langauges -->detials --> then select the language u want, but u have to check if ur PC can read text in that language.
and this can be done from the same tab, and then check the box that is labelled,install files for east asian langauges....

you just need Windows XP Multilingual User Interface Pack DISK,and add languages.

To my knowledge, even if you add any language through the Regional Options in XP, that won't change the interface, but will add additional languages for IE and other programs.

No... all it does is give you the option to view and input additional fonts in programs such as IE and MS Word. However, every now and then, some text gets a bit jumbled.
