xp mce/xp home gaming

This is just to compare the two. I have never used MCE but im buying a new computer and the best one for the money has MCE on it, so i was wondering if there would be any difference in games on MCE compared to XP. Don't bother comparing games like F.E.A.R. and Oblivion cause i have no interest in running games of that high detail.

It wont make a difference... the only perforance related thing about MCE is that you'll have access to MCE specific drivers (whooppee ).

Does MCE have many more processes running by default? Definetly not the choice for gamming if this is true

Unless these background processes are chewing up sizeable percentages of CPU and RAM (or HDD), it's not gonna make enough of a different to matter.
