XP no longer for sale after June 30.

I agree, me being amongst the lot.
You will probably find this funny but now we're in 2008 and some gov offices in my country are still using Dell optiplex gx100 with win98.
I'm talking about this

maybe whoever is in charge of IT will migrate them to Xp or directly to Vista.I In any case i will keep on using Xp for a very long time

I can beat that. I know a hospital which uses about 300 Dell Optiplex GXa's, with 300MHz Pentium II's and DOS apps!

Is there a possiblity of get XP updates in a file format(download as a file)?

Becos if they stop updation and if i reinstall XP after that how can i update?

you can download sp3 MAYBE like you could for vista.. I don't know though..

For vista, you download sp1, install it anywhere, in one file.

I have one of those towers too, in my basement, with Win98SE on it. Those suckers are absolutely bulletproof. One of these days, I just might set it up in the living room for my parents!
