Hey guys so here i am solving this problem with some previous info
booting up with knoppix and having to do this

1) Rename "c:\windows\sytem32\config\security" to security.bak

2) copy c:\windows\system32\repair\security to the location above.

Only thing is there is no repair folder in system32.

Any info on this?

Boot up failure supposed to be due to security file damage.

Ummmm....

Do you have another computer running XP which you could copy the healthy files from? In any case depending on how old this machine is (is running XP) I wouldn't even waist my time trying to repair the OS. Check to make the sure the HDD is fine and wipe and reload XP.

Would be faster, and provide a clean system.

This video might be useful if you have the original installation disk. No guarantees that you wont lose your files though, they should be backed up somewhere else. Having said that it shouldn't delete any of your personal files.
