what is oem xp i may have to buy a new one because the one that came with my parents hp doesnt have the cd key so what is oem windows xp as advertised on new egg http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=368&manufactory=1149&DEPA=0 and what does it mean have to be purchesed with hardware i already got it all so would they send it to me, or should i purches retail if i have to? and this is on a new computer will that work?

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) doesnt comes with box and a full manual, and wont be sold seperately, you have to buy some peripeheral extra, with that to qualify for buying, (if you buy on eBay, you'll get a screw as a seperate piece of hardware 
). its better if you buy a new system, you'll get Windows XP with it, else, as if you have got the CD, rather than buying the CD + COE, find someone on eBay selling the COE only. it'll work same way.
