xp plus more?

i was wondering if it was possible to install xp along with other things.

basically have the xp installation as usual, but somewhere, even after the setup, it would autorun the install files of the programs i would want on there such as Pidgin(GAIM), iTunes, VLC, Firefox.

so i just want the few basic files to be installed along with it.

there would probably end up being a lot more things i wanted installed.

is there any way that this could be done? maybe through a batch file or something and then put onto the xp disk so it was all together?

thanks

you can but not legally. I would just get an external or create a another partition and put all the install files there. Then when you reformat, select them all, right click and hit open.

agreed.
there are windows XP like this (with faked name such as SP3 or hacked or whatsoever), they do auto install of software for you during the setup, but then again it's illegal.
why not do a batch file to run all the exe's...just guessing

i reckon ill juts put the install files on the xp disk. just so they are there. its easier

Guys this is not illegal if you are using pxe network boot and have a ghost license and an image that is your standard that you have licenses for all of the software. A company i used to be an intern for a major company here in the us that has over 500k computers did it this way becuase they had a standard image and added to it after that each time. They went and bought many extra licenses and assigned and bought more as needed. Moral of the story is you canot make a disk to do this but can legally do it with ghost as long as you have all the licensing you need to do it..

im thinking that this doesnt need to be too technical. i just wanted a way for me not to have to find all the files again once i reformat.

when i burn the xp iso ill just put the install files on the cd too so i can acces them later.

ill have a look at that link too thanks epidemik

yeah pretty much i suppose.

like it would be awesome to have it set up like ubuntu. with a whole heap of stuff already installed.

that way it doesnt take me ages to get my pc how i like it after i reformat
