If your computer is 64 bit compatible then I would use XP Pro x64 / Vista x64.

Yes only because there are a lot more things compatible with x64.

As much as i know, there arent any shortages of the drivers, and for more of the 'big name' products, they have drivers for 32/64 bit Os's. To answer te Question, go for the 64 bit, MORe RAM!

go 64 bit,I found it performs faster than 32 vista than i had installed.

Thought I'd do a dual boot xp, 32 and 64; any problems with that or has anyone done it, thanks.
Whats the real point with that? Everything you want to configure would have to be done twice, it makes more sense IMO to just go with a 64 bit OS.

I agree.

x64 OS

The only problem I had with x64bit is that my Logitech cordless camera and my Canon Fb630 scanner would not work. So I duel booted with 32bit and 64bit. Got new printer 4-in-1, solves the scanner problem. But logitech won't make the drivers for the camera. So, I jump down to 32bit once a week to run my Webroot Spysweeper. They said they are working on a beta 64bit program now.

Thanks for that advice, think I might go back to my original idea of dual booting as well, hey got plenty of hd space, thanks for the tip.....Which did u load first.

Duel Boot

I had 32bit loaded first, then I bought the x64. I always partition drives for easier defragging. Got to have partitions. Can't put 2 os's on same drive.
