XP Pro and XP Home Diff?

Just wondering what the simple difference's are between the two? I'm about to fork out for one but I dont know which one would suit my needs best.

I use multiple users so there is a bit of admin control but I'm no computer expert either.

Is there a giudline that says if u need to do this then u need XP pro??

XP Pro has some additinal networking features and a few less wizards. All in all, Home should be fine.

home has shutdown problems, i dont know if they're fixed or not. what i did was just have the taskmanager kill all the process during a shutdown and that fixed this little bugger.

Mmmm. I remember a friend of mine (a well qualified technician, really good one) that in fact the xphome was using an win98 engine (improved, but win98 at last) so maybe he is right and maybe the shutdown problems are related with it.

Get XP home. I have both and XP pro just has some extra pointless features. IMO

xp home has a green progress bar and pro has a blue progress bar during the boot screen

XP Home is fine if you are just using a standalone PC at home. I always go for Pro on the other hand. This is because I am often adding the PCs to a domain at my work.
