I'm presently running XP pro and I simply want to find out whether my version is 64bit or 32bit. How would I find out?

Thanks in advance!

As the other's said your running the 32bit version, because the procceserin your sig is 32bit, which mean's it would be inpossible to run thr 64bit.

Okay thanks for the help...As long as you're absolutely sure because I have to update the driver for my vid' card and there appears to be a different driver for XP pro 64bit.

Last time someone said that to me I ended up voting labour!
LMAO!!! So did i, but i stand by them (except the VCR bill) Anyway, XP64 will ONLY work on 64bit processors, it wont even boot on 32bit. Infact it doesnt even autorun from within windows, it just says my hardware isnt compatible. Your cpu is a 2400, and AFAIK, the lowest Athlon64 was a 2800, and that was a skt 754 if im not mistaken

Okay thanks for the help...I believe you that my version of windows is 32bit...However I can't believe you still stand by that grinning idiot considering that practically everything his party have implemented over the past 8 years has progressively undermined civil liberties...Still, at least they're better than the tories...Aren't they??

Could be wrong but I believe it would be a SKT A CPU. However we cannot be sure if he has an Athlon XP 2400+ or an Athlon Sempron 2400+ but I believe both would be a SKT A CPU. There could be a sempron 2400+ in SKT 754 but I have not seen one. I have only seen Sempron's 2500+ - 3400+ In SKT 754. Correct me please if I am wrong.

Edit:

Never mind. I should have just looked at his motherboard. It is indeed a SKT A. Definitely not a 64 bit chip. All Sempron's that would be 64 bit would be SKT 754. I'm guessing it is prob. an Athlon XP CPU anyhow. Here is a Sempron 2400+ in SKT A http://geek.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=3421191

Ugh this is going above my head! I guess we've established that it's not 64bit. Thanks for the help chaps!

Oh and for the record, it's definately not an athlon sempron 2400+. It's an athlon 2400+. Crap I know! It was top of the range when I bought it 18 months ago!
