Xp reinstall

Is it possible to overwrite my current french XP home and put an english xp pro without formatting the partitions it's on?

To change the language used for menus and dialog boxes
Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
On the Languages tab, under Language used in menus and dialogs, click the language you want.

No, I have to reinstall my XP since it's messed up, can I do it without having to format the partition?

You have to format it. The Xp you have is a french version. So you have to format the computer. I think an upgrade might help, but I wouldn't get the risk of doing that.

I think you just reinstall it by WinXP installation setup disk (English version), no need to reformat.
