xp security center help plz

hi i went to windows security center and this message was there
the security center is currently unavailable because the "security center" service has not
started or was stopped .please close this window ,restart the computer (or start the "security center"
service,)and then open the security center again.
i tryed restarting my pc that didnt work and i dont know how to start the security center
please help
 
Go on run in the start menu, type in service.msc and press enter. Scroll down to security centre. Double click it, then click start. Make sure the startup type is set to automatic so it starts itself evertime you switch on your pc
 
Go to start>run> and type in wscui.cpl and that will open up security center. secuirty center is no big deal really. I hope you dont think it has a anti-virus with it.

yes i know it has not got anti virus i dont really use the security center its just i like to know how to fix it and i still dont
 
sorry, i dont know what is wrong. I only know how to start it because it happened to me once, I looked at help and support but that probably isnt any good to you because it only says to do what i have told you
 
hey, meanman, i got that problem too with my security center, it says, that your security center i blah, blah,blah... and i dont know how to fix it!!!
