XP64 Bit or Vista

Hi every one. I am about to start a new build, my question is short: I am building a new gaming system and putting in 8 gig of ram, i like xp so i would like to know if xp 64 Bit will see the full 8 gig, or will i have to install vista 64.
I'm going 64 bit which ever i need.

I've not had much experience with XP 64 bit, but from what I've heard, it's a very, VERY buggy OS and has little to no support for 32bit programs.

I'm currently running Vista 64bit with very good success. The only real problems I've had are with drivers (some older hardware). Only a handful of programs don't work with Vista 64bit, most of which try and get you because they require special licenses for 64bit (IE get them more $$$ :P)
 
I use XP 64bit at work, 50-60 hours per week, and Vista 64bit at home.

If someone gave me a free copy of XP 64bit, I would sell it, and put the money towards a copy of Vista.
