Why don't you buy a Dimension E520 with the C2D 6400? They have a 25% off coupon right now so you could get a system like that with the e6400 and 2gigs of ram for under $840+tax(just built one on their site) The code is N3GVCQPP11CG9J and the only thing is the video card would be a little lower grade, but with the money you saved you could probably get an 8800 DX10 card and still be at about the same money that you would have spent on that XPS system, plus you got a better processor and double the ram....just a thought

3'dly, I spelled it wrong on purpus, so that the Ex in extreme is "x" to match up with the "x" in XPS. Think a little, you'll get it.

idk if I would build one becuase for $890 to my house I could have a dell dimension e520 with 2gigs of ram, e6400, 250GB hdd, and dual drives, plus a Geforce 7500LE. I don't think I could build one for that price, I might just buy it! And I've never owned a dell, always have hated them, but in my case they are cheaper(atleast I think so). I know I'm not getting the quality of if I built one myself, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. I would build one if Vista and XP wasn't $175+.

And you don't think Vista/XP is included in that price? It's just that they use shitty hardware so they can afford to price the system lower, making it look like you'r not paying for an OS.
