XPS DVD Issues

Last week on a plane trip home I decided to take in some movies on my XPS. I had the Saw DVD with me and Saving Private Ryan. I watched Saving Private Ryan and had to switch batteries, then at about 8:30 PM I put in SAW. Nothing happened. I put it in absolutely nothing happened, the DVD+-RW drive still read empty. I took it out and put it in about 10 times, still nothing. I put SPR in again and it worked fine. When I got home I put other DVDs in the XPS and they all worked. I put Saw in my PC and it worked fine. What could be wrong?

If other dvd's, including SPR, work, then would guess and say its the SAW dvd thats the problem. Try it in another dvd player, whether it be stand alone or on a computer

yea. The problem is the Saw DVD works in everything else, just not the XPS. All other DVDs I have do work.

I have an XPS and the Saw DVD and it worked just fine. Maybe something is jamming the electronic reader for your DVD.

it's probably some stupid DRM thing. Your laptop lacks the decoder to "unlock" the movie.
