What kind of consequences does bottlenecking do besides slow it down? Also I was planning on just saving up for a quad.... Its going to be a huge upgrade. But would It still be fine to get it now or wait even longer?
u dont need a quad, i wouldn't even buy a q6600, i suggest u get an other mobo with 1333FSB (dont know if if it's important for you to have the one u mentioned)and a E6750 or E6850
Quad Cores are future proof though, but I don't need top of the line I guess. The e6750 is nice its $100 less that helps, my wallet wont be empty. Also the ds3r is 1333 fsp when needed and 1066.
