Ok this all started when i used the western digital disket to "Full Erase" my hard drive, it said it writes zeros to all the sectors or something like that, because i wanted to install a fresh copy of windows and destroy the old one.. so i do that and then i pop in my Western Digital Disk and use the data lifeguard program to 'set up my hard drive for use in this computer' and it does its stuff with the partitioning and all that stufff... then it tells me to reboot the computer and when the blue western digital banner appears to install my OS with the windows xp cd-rom... so i do that and pop in the Windows xp cd and press c like im supposed to and i get this:

NTLDR is missing:
Press Alt+Ctrl+Del to restart

And heres a picture of what the screen looks like:

You should not need the WD diskette to install XP. You are getting that error because there is not a boot sector , boot partition, or system partition. It's all gone. You need to set your PCs bios to boot from the " C:\ " drive. Put the xp cd in the cdrom tray and reboot your pc. If the HD is truly blank, no boot sector, the xp install program will run automatically. If there is a boot sector xp will ask " press a key to boot from the cd " xp will give you about 5 seconds to press a key then it will try to boot from the HD.
