I have several Gmail accounts; apparently, the photos I take on my phone also go to Google. I don't want my emails to be tied in with my pictures. I'll download these pictures off my phone on my own. How do I get my emails separate from my pictures so I can still get email? Thanks.

You can upgrade to a Google One subscription to get more storage space. Otherwise go to photos.google.com and download or delete all your photos that have been uploaded to free up disk space.
If you don't want them to auto backup from your phone, open the Photos app, tap your account in the top right, select Backup, and turn off Backup.
